A Little Backstory

Cheri, June 10, 2024June 11, 2024

I’ll be honest but I feel like especially since becoming a homeschooling mom I noticed a shift happened in our lives. It wasn’t  just because we started homeschooling.. but also I became a stay at home mom and that gave me a freedom I’ve never had… which lead me to want to go out and do things because I could.

I also felt this pressure to socialize my kids because that’s what every non-homeschooler talked about was what am I doing to give the girls socialization. If you are a homeschooling mom I’m sure you’ve gotten this question many times !

Because of the pandemic we weren’t able to do a ton the first year so we mostly did small play dates which was great but as the years went on and more things started back up our schedules got busier and busier.

Then by year 3 of homeschooling co-ops started up again and that’s all everyone was taking about so I dove into finding a co-op for us to join… well every homeschool family had the same mission because I wasn’t having luck finding one that had openings or fit what I was looking for which lead me to start up my own co-op

Running my own co-op was definitely not in my plan but God knew it was something I had a gift for and it ended up being a wonderful opportunity for our family. We met so many incredible families…it gave me the opportunity to use my planning and organizing skills and through this group were able to go on some amazing field trips … make some amazing friends and have memories we will forever cherish . But after a few years as much as I loved this role it was another thing on my plate adding to the chaos of life and it became too much for me and so God had other plans.

While homeschooling and being a stay at home was the best blessing I could ask for …I was beginning to feel like my life was spiraling out of control and I didn’t know how to stop the chaos which sent me on mission to make some life changes.

If you’re living on auto pilot…wearing that badge of exhaustion and so busy you don’t even get time to sit down or do something for you I feel you! I’ve been there and now that I’m finding ways to make adjustments and feel I’m on the other side of the chaotic life I was living I’m here to say there’s hope.. and you too can live that life you desire.

🍃Stick around because I’ll be sharing more on how to stop that busy cycle …make time for yourself and create a mom life  that doesn’t stress you out but one that blesses you instead!
